Jewellery Care Directions

At Soleo Jewellery, we take pride in creating handmade jewellery that is both beautiful and durable. To ensure that your jewellery lasts for years to come, it’s important to take proper care of it. Here are some guidelines for caring for your handmade jewellery:

Avoid Exposure to Chemicals And Water

Chemicals found in household cleaners, perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, creams and other beauty products can damage your handmade jewellery. We recommend avoiding exposure to these substances and removing your jewellery before applying them. As chlorinated and salt water can damage and discolor gold, it would be a good idea to take off your gold-plated jewellery before you head to the pool, sauna, or hot tub for a refreshing dip.

Store Your Jewellery Properly

When you’re not wearing your handmade jewellery, store it in a dry and safe place. We recommend storing your jewellery in a jewellery box or pouch to prevent it from getting scratched or tangled. Avoid storing your jewellery in direct sunlight or humid areas, as this can cause discoloration or damage. Make sure to keep all your gold-plated jewellery pieces separate from each other to prevent rubbing, which can lead to flaking.⠀

Clean Your Jewellery Regularly

Cleaning your handmade jewellery regularly can help maintain its shine and prevent tarnishing. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or piece of cotton to gently wipe your jewellery clean after each wear.

Handle Your Jewellery with Care

Take off your jewellery while sleeping. When putting on or taking off your handmade jewellery, be gentle to avoid bending or breaking delicate parts. Avoid pulling or tugging on chains or clasps, as this can cause damage. Also, be mindful of how you store your jewellery when traveling, as rough handling can cause damage.
